Imagine yourself  in Venice with all the sparkling festivities along the canals for this traditional celebration of life. Then, imagine an evening filled with warmth, spontaneity, and laughter surrounded by friends and family.  Now imagine fulfilling those visions at this year's ALN Annual Gala "Carnaval Di Venezia" on December 13th, held at The National Weather Center, 120 David L Boren Blvd.  

The enchanting evening begins at 6:30 PM with cocktails and appetizers and maybe a surprise or two. Then, a lively auction filled with delightful sweets and magnificent treats led by auctioneer extraordinaire, Gene McKown.

Next, treat your palate and senses to a memorable feast prepared expertly for you by Abbey Rd. Catering and enjoy engaging conversation with friends.  

Finally top off the evening by listening and dancing to the sounds of DJ in the Sky Bar while experiencing a lounge atmosphere on the Observatory Deck. Or enjoy a the enticing live music while moving your feet on the Atrium floor with one of Norman's local favorites, Full Circle Band.  

As usual, black tie is optional but this year the Gala also includes another option. . . Carnavale Masks. These whimsical and sometimes slightly wicked masks will add mystique for you and an air of fantasy to the evening events. The ALN provisional class are decorating masks for purchase or you may wish to purchase your own mask to decorate to match your attire or personality. The Annual Gala s the  ALN's largest fundraiser of the year benefiting Operation School Bell and it's other philanthropic projects including Assault Survivor Kits, Care Bears, Care Kits, and Seniors R & R. 

Assistance League of Norman is a non-profit philanthropic volunteer organization, dedicated to creating and funding service programs that enrich the lives of the Norman community.  Our major program is Operation School Bell, which provides new clothing and shoes to disadvantaged youth in the local public school systems.  Please watch this short video to learn more about us.
